First day of school

Exciting day for our little Denali today... Last night before bed, we talked to her about all the fun things she will be doing in her first day of school. She must've stayed up awake long thinking about it, because she actually slept in very late this morning. I went into her room and yelled out, "first day of school, first day of school, first day of school" and I put Emily on Denali's bed, and Emily happily pounced on her big sister to help me to get her awake. Denali woke up quickly and she was still so excited about it, she ate very little breakfast. I even made her the cheesy eggs, which is her favorite. I got her all ready for her school, and took some pictures, and I guess sending my baby girl off for the first day of school must've affected me more than I thought, as evidenced by me running my beautiful black escalade (which was a birthday gift from Ryan this year), right into our beautiful garage door. YES, I decided to go ahead and back up JUST BEFORE the garage door opened up completely!! Luckily, the damage to my car was almost non-existent, and only thing I did to the garage door is that I knocked one of the wheel out of the track, which was easily fixed by handy daddy Ryan.
All in all, it was a memorable day with Daddy, sister Emily and mommy escorting our daughter to her first day of school. I think she will do excellent in her school.... if she is anything like her mama. Ok, daddy too... LOL!

Denali meets Santa

We have been talking up Santa to Denali, and it was finally time for her to meet him. She was so star strucked, so in AWE... She appeared to be nervous and excited at the same time. She still managed to form a smile on her face, despite how shocked she was to finally meet him.

happy birthday, Denali!

Grandma and Grandpa Workman, and uncle Tagg came into town to help celebrate Denali's 3rd birthday. Denali, once again, wanted to be dressed up as a princess for her birthday. She picked out a puffy white dress early on her birthday morning. Grandma painted her nails and mommy curled her hair. Denali helped grandma and mommy, making her a birthday cake. Of course, she enjoyed making it, but she enjoyed tasting everything even more. It's a special cake recipe that grandma Mary used to use for her children... thanks for sharing! As a special touch, mommy put a pink princess tiara along with her "3" candle. She could not wait to wear her princess tiara!
She received her red kitchen for her birthday, which she has been working so hard to earn lately. She had been earning and collecting her "good girl points", knowing that she is earning her red kitchen as a final reward.
Grandpa and uncle Tagg helped daddy to put together the red kitchen. She loves the kitchen, and she loves making "soup" for dinner every night. She also received the cutest "Dora" night time story book pillow that we read together every night, and she cuddles it to sleep.
What a great time we had, seeing our parents and Uncle Tagg. Grand daughters LOVED having visitors. We will cherish these photos and our memories for a long long time.

Happy Halloween!!

What a fun day it was! Girls dressed up early morning, and Denali was ready to be the "snow white" princess all day long. Her nails were painted, and her hair was curly. Emily was all decked out with a home made cheerleading pom-poms and a headband. We took the girls out trick or treating around our neighborhood, and met some really nice neighbors. This year, I AGAIN, attempted to make the "dinner in a pumpkin" that Ryan ate during his childhood. I thought that I got the right recipe and made it, but it didn't turn out as what he had pictured, but being a good husband that he is, he complimented me on it, and he and the girls enjoyed it anyways. DOES anyone have a good "dinner in a pumpkin" chili-like, soup-like, recipe that you can share?

By the end of the night, Denali was sad to end her day as "princess". She cried when she had to take the costume off. We ended up getting her in her regular pj's but we assured her that she could be princess again next year. We also let her sleep with her costumes laying, NEXT to her until she fell asleep. Needless to say, she really loved being a princess. Emily seemed like she enjoyed the curly pom-poms too.

All cheered out....

Smith's comes to visit

Our friends came to visit us couple of weeks ago. Mackaylee is such a good role model for Denali. Kayden is practicing for his "hulk" face for the Halloween this year, as you could see here in the picture. Kolton is 7 months old, and chubby! It was great to see them!

I will feed you,
You feed me too!

Trick or Treat

Denali is looking forward to Halloween. She was originally going to be "Dora" and Emily be "Boots" the monkey, but the costumes were hard to find. So she decided to be "snow white" instead. She loves her costume.. she wore it for 2 straight days.
Emily will be U of U cheerleader!

quick overview of our last 11 months

I can't believe that we've been here for 11 months! So much has happend while we were here. Let's see...

Denali celebrated her 2nd birthday a month after we moved here. Not too many friends yet, but we still wanted to make it fun for her so we bought her a Dora balloon (BOY, she LOVES DORA, and still does..) and a huge number 2 shaped balloon, which she kept calling it a "Snake". How cute, I guess that's how the 2 year old mind works.. Then we took her to the Denver Aquarium, where she got to paint her birthday rice crispy treat before eating it.

Speaking of her birthday... her 3rd one is coming up in November! I can't believe it, my baby girl is going to be 3!!!!

Then soon after her birthday, Emily celebrated her little "100 day" celebration of her own. In Korean culture, this celebration is a significant halmark of her life. Now, Emily is 14 months old! These two girls are turning out to be really cute friends.

They play together and they giggle out loud!

Ryan is such a great daddy.... He spends most of his free time as our family time, taking us all over the town. Together we take the girls to parks, malls, and various family centers. Our girls are the luckiest daughters of all, to have a daddy like Ryan.

Home, sweet home....

We can now comfortably call Colorado our home. We have moved into our beautiful new home in Morrison and I love having the peace of mind of being a home owner where my girls can run around and enjoy themselves. We were in a 1000 sq ft, 2 bedroom apartment for the last 11 months and it was difficult with 2 babies who likes to thump around and play loud. Now we have plenty of space and play area for the girls.
We would love you guys to come visit! Let us show you around this fun town. There is a lot to do here and people are so friendly! It was hard to move away from UT, leaving friends and family but this move was definitely the right thing to do for our little Workman family.
